In 'World Voyage', you follow the ships in the 16th, 17th and 18th century to their destination all around the world. Be amazed by the great value of the cargo in the Palmwood Wreck exhibition and dream away whilst viewing the beautiful silk dresses. Don't forget to visit he scale-model of the Texel Roads. It portrays the largest anchorage of the 17th century. Use the touchscreens to dive into the many exiting and dramatic stories about the ships in this illustrious period of time! In the open-air museum you can experience how the islanders used to live. There are also many age-old ship parts on display alongside other objects which have been washed ashore or retrieved from the seabed by divers. The beachcomber’s shed is an adventure in itself, with a huge variety of beach finds!
