Money chest Kaap Skil’s ‘real gold’

During the Dutch National Museum Week from 9-15 May, Kaap Skil presents the money chest from the orphanage as the ‘real gold’.In this money chest, the proceeds were kept from selling water from the ‘weze’n’ wells. Sailors drank the water during the long voyages for the VOC.
